This 4,300-square-foot residence in Dallas caters to a young family, from their work in real estate, developments, and social media, they required adaptable spaces that could act as a beautiful backdrop for both daily life and their booming social media. Upon entering, the blacked-out entryway creates a sense of exploration as the architecture of the home expands in size with every step you take inward, creating an inviting ambiance. Adorned with black oak accents, the entryway sets the tone for the rest of the home all while acting as an art gallery to display the client’s impressive art collection.

Custom floor-to-ceiling sheers draw the eye upward, accentuating the dramatic ceiling height and evoking the sense of penthouse living at ground level. Anchoring the space is an asymmetrical wool rug designed by Bilal Rehman Studio, complemented by a vintage blue ceramic bowl discovered by Bilal on a sourcing trip to New York. Together with a collection of carefully curated furnishings and objects, these bespoke details weave a layered and highly personal design narrative.

Sculptural forms played a defining role in shaping the character of this home. Curved profiles, richly layered materials, and a nuanced interplay of metal finishes come together in quiet harmony, creating a sense of depth and sophistication. The result is a timeless interior designed not only for the present moment, but to evolve gracefully with its owners for years to come.

A striking focal point within the space, the custom oversized aluminum wall sculpture was sourced from a boutique artist based in Mexico. Its sculptural form and artisanal craftsmanship introduce a sense of movement, texture, and individuality, lending the interior a curated and highly personal character.

Crafted with a refined sense of elegance, this formal dining room pairs bold contrasts with soft textures to create a sophisticated atmosphere. A dramatic black ceiling, sculptural lighting, and floor-to-ceiling sheers frame the space, while rich materials and understated furnishings lend warmth, balance, and timeless appeal.

Building on the home's monochromatic aesthetic, the kitchen serves as the heart of the project. Finished in a rich all-black palette, the space exudes a sense of sophistication and drama, where clean lines, refined materials, and thoughtful detailing create a bold yet timeless centerpiece for daily living and entertaining.

Located at the intersection of the home’s primary living spaces and visible from the entry, kitchen, and living room, the bar was envisioned as both a destination and a connective element. The studio sourced a monumental curved steel bar, weighing over 350 pounds, to serve as the room’s sculptural centerpiece. Its commanding form not only anchors the space visually but also subtly reshapes the home's circulation, encouraging a more fluid and uninterrupted progression from one area to the next.

Echoing the dark, atmospheric palette found throughout the home, the primary suite is wrapped in rich chocolate-brown tones that create a sense of warmth, depth, and retreat. With its expansive footprint, the clients sought a space that would serve not only as a place of rest but as a refuge from the demands of daily life. The studio responded by incorporating a hotel-inspired sitting area, allowing the room to function as a private sanctuary, equally suited to quiet moments of relaxation and restorative sleep.
